Thousands of Fremont residents joined Washington Hospital, Cisco and the Athletics at the First Annual Health Care Grand Slam.

Participants received free health screenings from Washington Hospital and got a first hand look at the future of medicine by experiencing Cisco’s Health Presence “Medi-Pod”, which allows doctors to perform basic check-ups from thousands of miles away.

The crowd lined up to greet A’s First Baseman Daric Barton, Outfielder Ryan Sweeney and Team Coach Don Wakamatsu and the team members enjoyed the home town reception!

The Athletics appreciate the hard work of our community partners, Washington Hospital and Cisco Systems, and the outpouring of support from the community.
